What Families are Made of ||| Seattle Family Portraits
What I love most about this family, is their absolute sense of family. When we were on the ferry ride back from Seattle, a man was talking with Jean and telling her the ages of his daughters and that there was a big age gap between them, I think it was an 5 and a 14-year-old or something like that... and Jean replied, "We have a 16-year-old and 2-year-old twins," no hesitation. I love that. There was absolutely no need for her to explain that the 16-year-old is technically her niece and that the twins were adopted a year ago. There was no need because that is not how Jean and Darin think of their family. These are their children, this IS their family, and it is filled with unconditional love.
I can hardly believe how big the twins have gotten! You should hear their vocabulary, it's epic.
As you can see, Sam and Sydney are perfectly happy to have a big sister around.
Felicia brought along her (film!) camera... can't wait to see how her shots turned out!
How paparazzi ready is little Miss Sydney?! Starbucks in one hand, other hand up to block the shot... love it! :)
Darin, Jean, Felicia, Samson, and Sydney... thanks for (another) great photo shoot, and an incredibly fun day in Seattle! I don't think I will ever tire of taking photos of you and your beautiful family.
