The Robinson Kids ||| Salem Family Portraits
Meet the Robinson kids: Andrea, Jerene, and Michael. I have known the Robinson's for as long as I can remember. I grew up going to meeting (church) with them.
Andrea is the oldest and when I was little she seemed WAY OLDER then me and way to mature for me.
Jerene is the middle child and probably the one I talked to the most. I liked her fancy name, "Like Tangerine, but without the tan," she once explained to me.
Michael is the youngest and is about the same age as my older brother so they would hang out and talk about smart things that me, the little sister, just couldn't understand.
They grew up and moved out of Newberg, going to school, living their lives, and conquering the world, each in their own way... and so we lost touch and people so often do.
Then, thanks to the magic of facebook, I reconnected with them in the vague "hey, I used to know you, let's be facebook friends" way that you do. Then, I got an e-mail from Andrea via my website, saying that her mother had a BIG birthday coming up and her and her siblings wanted to surprise their mom with some photos! OKAY! We met up in Salem, on a cold and rainy day, explored the capital, reconnected, and got some awesome photos for their mom's birthday!
Judy (the mom) is originally from Canada but is now a proud US citizen. The kids wanted to honor her patriotism by having their pictures taken at the Oregon State capitol building.
I personally LOVE getting the shots that reveal the true nature of siblings' relationships. :)
But then we ran into a little trouble for taking photos in a government building. Mike protested that he paid for it so of course he can take photos in here!
JUST KIDDING!!! All in good fun. ;-)
Judy, you have amazing children. I'm so happy that you like the birthday photos! Andrea, Jerene, and Mike, thank you so much for trusting me to help you out with this special present for your mom. It was SO GREAT seeing you all again and I hope to see you again soon!

You got a ton of great photos!! It was fun to see a familiar face. Jerene and I have spent some time together in the nursery at Parma and/or Boring or both! She always has a smile on her face! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love the one where they are standing in the door frames and LOOVE the one with the flags and the umbrella AND actually, I love them all. Great job, friend!
