Kamuela James | 5 Months

Josh and I are still in awe of the fact that we are now parents. The other night when I was in the kitchen with Kamuela and Josh was in the living room, he looked up from whatever he was doing and laughed. "What?" I asked him. "Who are you?" he asked with a smile. He got up and came over to give me a big hug. "My wife? The mother of my child???" We laughed and danced, kissing Kamuela as he was sandwiched between us, amazed and grateful for this wonderful life we have and the beautiful little boy we get to call ours.

Last year, our holiday card was a pregnancy announcement. This year I was so excited to send out cards with our little family of three on them!

5 Months Old in Christmas PJs!

He's rolling over from his back to his tummy like it ain't no thang- and will stay on his tummy for long amounts of time! He can superman like nobody's business. He passes items from one hand to the other. Everything goes in his mouth. He's starting to get more of an actual laugh which is pretty much the best sound in the world, especially when he's laughing with me. Pretty sure that he's teething, what, with all the drool, the waking up screaming, the chewing on everything. It's so sad and I wish he didn't have to go through the pain. Tried his first solid foods, starting with poi, per his daddy's request! Wasn't impressed at first and then he kept trying to feed himself! Has also sucked on a banana and really seemed to like that. He still is just so interested in everything going on around him, soaking it all in, it's so fun to watch him observing. He tugs on his left ear, not sure if that's a tiredness thing or if he just discovered that he has them. :)  He had his first really bad cold, at the same time that his parents were also sick so that was a week of no sleep and misery for everyone. Thankfully we are all better now and very much looking forward to Christmas!
