Weekend Update

Life is GOOD. My weekend was GREAT. I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend with their families!

I started my weekend early on Thursday by cooking  dinner for my dad. Stuffed peppers! He was pretty excited. Or maybe just surprised that I could cook. ;-)

It's always a good weekend when I get to see my best friend and her baby! Love this girl. I can't believe she's 3 months old already! (Photos from our mini session soon!)

Then Mom and I went and saw Wicked. SO GOOD! Thanks for an awesome birthday present Momma. It really reaffirmed my love for all things broadway. Note to self: go to more plays.

On Saturday it was my cousin MacKenzie's birthday and so Grandma and Grandpa wanted to take her to Red Robin for a birthday dinner! I got to tag along since I offered to drive. :) And now, here's the cutest picture of my grandparents. Love them!

Happy Birthday Mac! I can NOT believe you're a teenager. YIKES!

And of course Sunday was Easter. It was a pretty big day... I was in charge of the ham! Yes, it was a Costco ham and yes all it technically needed was to be heated up, but still! It's very stressful to be in charge of the Easter ham. Luckily, I pulled it off (with Grandma's supervision) and the Joyce fam had a lovely lunch- one day I hope to be a good cook like Mari, Brian, and my aunt Brenda! Mari and Brian made green beans that were to die for and I could NOT stop eating Brenda's roasted sweet potatoes. I'm gonna need those recipes guys!

Thanks Dad for capturing these photos as proof that I can now warm up a ham.

a picture of my easter outfit. And Roxy. :)

On a side note, I learned that the date for Easter is determined by the first full moon after the spring equinox. I find that little tidbit interesting, and slightly ridiculous; that a "Christian Holiday" is determined in such a pagan way. Which made me grateful that Christ's resurrection is something I'm reminded of every week at meeting and not just once a year, depending on the moon cycle. :)
