Japan III

I woke up this morning with the beginnings of a migraine and even as I started to get mad at my head, I couldn't help but smile because if I'm going to have a horrendous headache, what better place to have it then in Japan where as soon as your boyfriend gets off work he can give you a head rub?! Right? Right. That's my philosophy anyway.

So I got a Pepsi from one of the ever present vending machines (they're EVERYWHERE here), took a hot bath, read a little, and did my hair to distract from the throbbing in my head... I think the caffeine is starting to kick in and taking the edge off, allowing these random thoughts to creep in:

Mumford and Sons in playing at LOCH NESS in June. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! My favorite band in my favorite place on earth??!? Please oh please oh PLEASE can't I go?! It seriously would be such a dream come true. To be back in Scotland, the place where I'm longing to return to, and to be listening to the music of a band that every single lyric is like a hymn? Oh it would just be perfect, just perfect.

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the cherry blossoms or SAKURA will bloom while I'm here. Please!

If you have some time, please watch this video. Why? Because "KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice."

KONY 2012 from INVISIBLE CHILDREN on Vimeo.

Pretty heavy stuff right? Just try and tell me that you aren't moved to do something. The very least you can do is share the video yourself. Because the first step to catching Kony is for everyone to know who he is and demand his capture.

On a lighter note... here's me. :-D From the balcony of our apartment in Japan! Not that exciting of a view but still... it's Japan. And I think my headache is gone. *phew* Migraine aborted!
