Japan II

I find myself getting this silly grin and giggling quietly at the most random moments throughout the day... Why? Because I'M IN JAPAN. It's amazing how small the world is, how easy it is to get from here to there, how it can always just take less then a day to be where you want to be, even if it's half a world away. Two nights ago, I held Josh's hand as we wandered the streets, looking at the plastic food displays in windows, debating which small restaurant at which to stop and eat. The signs were all characters I couldn't read, the faces were all people I couldn't recognize, the streets were all places I would be lost in, but I knew that I was exactly in the only place in the entire world that I wanted to be... there holding his hand. In Japan. In love.

Here's some more random shots from my days...

my first souvenir!

had to get a little coin purse because coins are used more then bills and Josh didn't like when I handed him my hot pink pencil pouch that I was using.  "this one is more manly" I told him as I showed off my purchase. he opened it and laughed at the girly polka-dots. At least they aren't hot pink... ;-)

this is the key to the apartment, like a hotel key, except it's an apartment.

even the remote controls confuse me. -.-

best mochi EVER! filled with the most delicious cream. must get more!

oy. this is the washing machine.

no idea what any of this means but my first load of laundry did get clean so that's good! :)

delicious apple tea! not nearly as syrupy or surgary as american Lipton tea drinks
milk tea from a vending machine. NOT like a Thai Iced Tea... which is what I was hoping for.

train trains train trains. love how easy it is to get around on trains.

french toast from a french bakery that had a million delicious looking things. i ate my orange croissant this morning. it was scrumptious and now I really want another one.

cherry blossoms! I'm holding my breath waiting, wishing, and hoping that the trees will bloom before I leave!

these are the first real blooms I've seen, but they're wrapped in cellophane so I'm not counting it
