Monday Random

I got to see Josh's dad's band Kohala in concert on Saturday and it was awesome! The Bainbrdge Island theatre sold out and the music was delightful of course. If anyone is in the Eugene or Bellevue area, follow THIS LINK to see where they're playing and get your tickets! It's worth it, I promise. Pictures from there Saturday show will be appearing on the blog soon. :)

me and the nieces at the concert!

In random personal news, I had a melt down last night. Since it's only been my second one since Josh left, I think I'm doing pretty darn good. :) And hey, a girl is entitled to break down every once in a while. I'm a firm believer that a good cry is essential to one's mental health. And since I'm feeling a lot better today, I'll go ahead and say that it was just what the doctor ordered.

Part of my meltdown might have had something to do with the fact that I haven't been sleeping well ever since Josh called me from Japan to check on me after he heard about a recent murder that might be connected to another murder that happened last year (and a similar assault where the victim survived). I guess the FBI is in town and Josh wants me to buy pepper spray... so yeah, not sleeping so good lately.

Only 17 more days until I leave for Japan! I can NOT wait. Does anyone have any reccomendations for places to go and things to see (on a small budget). Let me know!

Has anybody else noticed the baby boom lately? There are adorable babies and beautiful pregnant ladies EVERYWHERE.

My friend Sharman and I have been doing Jillian Michaels' workout DVDs and they are kicking my booty! Everything feels tighter, firmer, and sorer. If you don't like going to the gym, I highly recommend Jillian's videos. (Yes, I'm totally on a first name bases with her, duh.)

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day but if you're my boyfriend in Japan, Valentine's Day is today and so ハッピー バレンタイン!

I'll leave you with this last little thought that I stumbled across on Pinterest today. It's amazing how it was EXACTLY what I needed to be told (re: last night's meltdown).

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Stay safe and don't go out alone.
