Aaaah Friday. It would be the end of the work week if I were someone who works a "normal" work week. But I don't. Us photographers, we work weekends. And we love it! So as I'm prepping for a busy weekend, here's a few random thoughts and iPhone pics;

1) I just about died when I saw this wedding on Green Wedding Shoes (one of my favorite wedding blogs). There's FOG. And Brett Dennen playing LIVE. Amazing.

2) I'm currently addicted to all things Christmas and crafty so when Josh had a bunch of friends over, I was excited to share my newly learned skills of snowflake cutting with the younger ones... and I impressed myself with being able to keep them all occupied and mostly quiet! Bonus. :) Josh is watching his nieces tonight so I'm hoping to try a few more things that I've learned from Pinterest.

Not to let you think that I'm turning into a complete domestic, I also did NOT impress myself when I attempted at making a cake. When I flipped the pan over... most of the cake stayed in while the middle fell out. FAIL. Just look at the crumbled mess. [My cake did turn out pretty tasty though, even if it was a pile of crumbs hidden beneath layers of frosting!]

I really, REALLY want to be one of those people who send out cute holiday cards with a cute family picture... but this is the best I can do right now. Weak-sauce, I know.

Confession: I totally stalk clients on facebook to see what their friends and family say about their photos! Maybe it's vain, maybe it's just to feed my ego, but mostly... I guess it's validating more then anything. It's ENCOURAGING. It helps me to feel like I actually DO know what I'm doing! And comments like this one about Karen and Josh's engagement photos... well, it just makes me happy because I feel like she understood exactly what it is I try to do...
