Alex | Maple Valley Senior Portrait Photography

Senior portraits are always a tricky thing to do because (usually) the parents are paying for the photos but the kids are the ones in them and parents always want the kids to look like kids, while the kids want to look cool and adult and like how they see themselves...  so the challenge is always to get both; photos that the parents will look at and cherish seeing their child in and photos that the senior will be okay with handing out to their friends. I think (and I hope Alex agrees) that we accomplished exactly this for Alex's senior photos:

 The "cool" shots were the easiest... Alex got his supermodel on, no problem.

 His mom requested some with "good" smiles. Hopefully this counts!

And just so y'all know, these are not fake laughs. Alex's mom wrote me a couple days after our session and said "he said you were funny and he felt quite relaxed". Yes! Proof that I am in fact FUNNY! ;-) When really, it's just that I'm willing to make myself look and sound ridiculous so that the client laughs AT me. hehehee
